There were lots of people of Scots descent in the South — here they have a meeting in Memphis to prepare for St. Andrew’s Day.

A preliminary meeting of Scotchmen and descendants of Scotchmen, to make arrangements to celebrate the Annual Anniversary of St. Andrews’ Eve, on the 30th inst., will be held on Saturday evening at Mr. Rider’s, glasstainer, Monroe street. “All Scotchmen cordially invited to attend.”
